Tours of Addis Ababa: You will be welcomed by our representative at Bole international airport regardless of arrival time. For morning arrivals tour will begin after checking into your hotel. For afternoon or evening arrivals, tours will begin the following day.
Itineraries
Visit Trinity Cathedral, resting place of Emperor Haile Selassie. Tour the Ethnographic Museum, a great introduction to Ethiopian culture and history. Make a short drive to Entoto Hills for a view of the city and visit Maryam Church. En-route, stop at Sheromeda traditional cloth market. Visit the Mercato or the Sholla Market, two of Addis Ababa's main markets.

Drive to Awash National Park. Many species of birds are found here: African Orange-bellied Parrots, Bustards, Weavers, Hoopoe, Yellow-throated Serine, Red-fronted Barbet, Pygmy Batis, Lesser-striped Swallow, and the House Martin. The park also boasts a variety of mammals: the Anubis Baboon, Colobus Monkey, Black-backed Jackal, Bat-eared Fox, Egyptian Mongoose, Warthog, Beisa Oryx, Soemmering’s Gazelle, Lesser Kudu, Salt’s Dikdik, etc.

Early morning game viewing. Afterwards, drive to Dire Dawa via the Harege Plateau a region of coffee and chat plantations. Arrive in the afternoon to tour the local market.

Continue with tour of Harar in its surrounding. Take an excursion to visit homes in the cliff-side village of Koremi for the Argoba people. Mid-morning continue visiting Dakhata Valley and The Babile Rock Formation (better known as the Valley of Marvels), is a collection of tall columns of boulders that resemble manmade statues. Tall rocks have been sculpted into strange, often phallic shapes by the elements. Hike for about 2 hours and then drive back to Harar.

Morning visit to the colorful Islamic Market. Drive from Harar to Dire Dawa. Fly to Addis Ababa. Visit the National Museum, home of the 3 million year old skeleton “Lucy.” Optional souvenir shopping. Enjoy a farewell dinner at a traditional Ethiopian restaurant featuring dancers and musicians representing some of the country's many ethnic groups. Transfer to airport for late night departure or additional hotel night booked upon request.
